We are a private billing practice.  All consultations are to be paid on the day of your appointment.

Standard Consultation             $85.00
Level B:  appointment up to 15 minutes
Out of pocket $43.80    Medicare Rebate $41.20

Long Consultation       $145.00
Level C:  appointment up to 30 minutes
Out of pocket $65.30     Medicare Rebate $79.70

Long Consultation       $190.00
Level D:  appointment 40+ minutes
Out of pocket $76.70  Medicare Rebate $113.30

Babies not yet registered with Medicare will be privately billed.  When your Medicare card has been updated, you can then claim your rebate.

All Work Cover appointments are privately billed and payable on the day of your consultation.  You can provide your employer or insurance company with your receipt for reimbursement.

Additional charges apply for consumables such as dressings, glue, and chargeable vaccines.

Unfortunately we do NOT bulk bill at our practice.
Pensioner card holders and under 5 year olds will be charged at a subsidised rate for their consultations.

referrals, prescriptions & test results

In the interest of good medical care, the Doctor needs to see you for these. We are NOT PERMITTED by law to backdate medical certificates and referrals. Doctors in this practice are competent at handling all the common health problems. When necessary, they are able to draw an opinion from Specialists, and if need be, refer you for further investigation. You can discuss this openly with your doctor.

We have recently upgraded our patient parking. We now have 3 parking spaces and a new Disabled parking space. Please do not park in the turning bay.  Drive slowly for child safety.We have 3 car spaces available with plenty of parking available on Yorks Corner.  Please do not park in the turning bay.  Drive slowly for child safety.

saturday billings

All consultations will be privately billed on a Saturday for all patients including children and Pension Card holders.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact the practice 24 hours before your booked appointment, otherwise, a fee of $80 will apply for no show.

If you need a postnatal check, removal of lesions, insurance medical, health check, review of a complex health issue or counselling, please tell our receptionists to book a long appointment.

reminder system

Our practice is committed to preventive care. Unless you notify us otherwise, we may issue you with a reminder notice offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. Recently we have screened for bowel cancer, updated MMR vaccinations and performed heart checks and osteoporosis screening. Patient confidentiality is always maintained.

In Autumn/Winter we provide free flu vaccines to those aged over 65 years, or with chronic illness.

a matter of time

Despite or best intentions, we sometimes run late. This is because someone has needed unexpected urgent attention or we might be dealing with a difficult problem. Be assured that when it comes to your turn your doctor will give your problem the time it deserves. Thank you for your consideration and support.

home visits

Home visits are available on request for existing patients of the practice with prior arrangement.

Please call the surgery first thing in the morning to discuss.

Home visits apply to local area only and these visits are billed privately and not bulk billed.

pension card holders

If you hold pension card please let Reception know so we can update file information.

pathology / x-ray results / papsmears

For medico-legal reasons, and in the interest of strict confidentiality of your medical records, no test results will be given over the phone or faxed to patients.  Patients are requested to make an appointment to be reviewed
2 – 7 days after the test to explain the results.  If the results are considered to be of a serious nature, the patient will be contacted immediately.

medicare rebate​

Medicare can now deposit your rebate directly into your bank account. You will need to register with Medicare by calling 132 011, visiting your local Medicare office or online at www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/online.

referrals and scripts

For reasons of confidentiality, specialist referrals and scripts will not be faxed. All documentation must be collected by the patient and taken to their specialist appointment.

Requests for transfer of medical records will only be posted to specific doctors after a transfer agreement form has been signed and received at the Practice.

If you have any concerns about the service you have been provided at the practice, please speak with our Practice Manager or you can send a letter to the practice.
